Description:Currently, ADS is seeking a Business Development Manager to call on NAVSEA. This person can work out of his/her home office in the DC metro area. (Qualified candidates located near our Corporate Headquarters in Virginia Beach, VA may also be considered.)

Duties:*Represent ADS with NAVY program offices and respective contracting offices
oIdentify program needs and objectives
oIdentify initial purchases and priorities, manufacturers, product categories and technologies
oIdentify preferred and/or optimal means of procurement
oServe as the lead for all large scale solicitations
oEngage and establish long term sales and service solutions
*Market/Industry analysis
oAnalyze market trends, new requirements, new program inceptions
oGather intelligence
oCreate new solutions in response to market changes
*Represent preferred vendor products as applicable
*Work with internal ADS support staff
oCommunicate with support staff to make sure customer deadlines are met, agreements are in place, strategic alliances are established, etc.
oFacilitate direct communication with customer when needed
oSupport fleet and aviation sales reps as required to capture large opportunities.
•Must possess current network of strong relationships with relevant Navy programs and program managers.
•Candidates with Damage Control background highly preferred.
•3-5 years prior NAVY or Naval Civil Service experience with
o2 years of experience with government programs, either in sales or development
o2 years experience in government contracts & oprocedures
•2 years of experience with MS Office
•Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High school diploma or equivalent
•Frequent travel required

•Understanding of the Government Acquisition process and contracting
•Knowledge of NAVSEA organization and procedures
•Professional & polished demeanor
•Ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities
•Flexibility and organizational skills
•Good grammar and writing skills
•Able to work well under pressure
•Excellent communications skills – ability to build rapport and trust
•Strong negotiation skills
