ADS, Inc. is currently seeking a Military Program Business Development Manager to support our SPAWAR programs customers. This position will be based out of Charleston, SC in order to provide direct support to customers in the region. Ideal candidates will combine exceptional understanding of SPAWAR customers, operations and requirements; a strong background of demonstrated SPAWAR business development success; and possess an extensive current network of SPAWAR community contacts to draw from for immediate success in this role.

Duties:�Represent ADS with SPAWAR program offices and respective contracting offices
�Identify program needs and objectives
�Identify initial purchases and priorities, manufacturers, product categories and technologies
�Identify preferred and/or optimal means of procurement
�Serve as the lead for all large scale solicitations
�Engage and establish long term sales and service solutions
�Market/Industry analysis
�Analyze market trends, new requirements, new program inceptions
�Gather intelligence
�Create new solutions in response to market changes
�Represent preferred vendor products as applicable
�Work with internal ADS support staff
�Communicate with support staff to make sure customer deadlines are met, agreements are in place, strategic alliances are established, etc.
� Make cold calls, face-to-face and via telephone prospecting to develop new business.
�Support aviation and fleet sales reps as required to capture large opportunities.
� Creatively address customer problems, becoming a true resource and solutions provider.
� Understand contract/funding methods and assist customers in their use.
� Partner with suppliers to provide best products & values to meet customer requirements.
� Determine innovative strategies to win business.
� Provide management with sales plan on a monthly basis.
Qualifications:Requirements
�Must possess current network of strong relationships with relevant SPAWAR programs and program managers
�Must possess a strong existing knowledge of SPAWAR customers, structure, contracts and requirements.
� Absolutely must be a highly competitive, challenge-oriented �self-starter� with the will/desire to be the best at what you do.
�Prefer 3-5 years prior NAVY or Naval Civil Service experience with
�2 years of experience with government programs, either in sales or development
�2 years experience in government contracts & procedures
� Must be comfortable talking to �anyone� at all organizational tiers. MAY BE REQUIRED TO MAKE A BRIEF PRESENTATION AS PART OF THE INTERVIEW PROCESS.
� Relevant Bachelor�s degree required.
� Must be utterly committed to providing legendary customer service.
� Strong understanding of government contracts, program-level defense procurement and relevant purchasing methods required.
� 50-75% Travel: Able to meet with customers outside under all weather conditions and must be able to travel by car/plane for long distances.
� Must be an excellent communicator - both in writing and in person � with exceptional interpersonal skills.
� Must understand basic business financial concepts and to be able to budget own expenses in a cost effective manner.
� 2+ years experience/demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, et cetera and willing to quickly learn use customer/prospect contact activities tools (CRM systems).
